19 Safety Protocols

Hi – these are strange and surreal times to be sure and we wish everyone in our local community, as well as our global community good health and well-being. For that reason, we thank you for reviewing our Covid-19 Safety Protocols.

We have 3 forms of safety protocols designed to keep everyone safe and to be a part of flatten the curve for our communities. Those include:

  • Safety Protocols for Customers & Employees
  • Safety Protocols for Employees
  • Additional Safety Protocols for Delivery Drivers

The sign listed at the top of page is an abbreviated version of one of our safety protocols. It’s short and sweet and misses the please and thank yous we are accustomed to extending because in times like these these, we need more than requests. We need requirements. A modestly more in-depth sign is posted at the door or both locations.

Our Safety Protocols for Employees state the following:

Welcome to work. It is imperative that working employees do the following each shift to ensure personal and communal safety:

  • Do not come to work if you or anyone you live with is sick or has been sick within the last week.
  • Do a symptom check with a Manager before the start of your shift.
  • Work must be performed at least 6′ away from any other employee. If there are any problems accomplishing this inform your Manager immediately.
  • All areas must be sanitized after each use.
  • Hands must be washed with even greater frequency than usual and gloves must be used following hand washing.

Additional Safety Protocols for Delivery Drivers state the following:

Welcome to work. It is imperative that in addition to Employee Safety Protocols each working employee does the following each shift:

  • All driver areas must be sanitized after each delivery.
  • Hands must be washed with even greater frequency than usual and gloves must be used following hand washing and while on deliveries.
  • Home deliveries must made making no contact with customers. This means that food must be gently left at the door once you are aware that the customer is about to answer the door. Do not leave food unattended but also do not hand food to a customer. Drivers must maintain 6 feet between you and our customers.
  • Business deliveries must be made making no contact with customers. This means gently leaving the food on a table within the common area after making the customer or the reception area aware of the delivery. Drivers must maintain 6 feet between you and our customers.
  • Upon returning to vehicle, please remove gloves, discard in safety area, use hand sanitizer and return to café.

It is our number 1 priority to keep our staff and our customers safe. We are in unprecedented times, requiring unprecedented actions. We hope these measures, taken globally, help us meet the moment and that together we will soon see our communities safe, in good health and enjoying free movement.
